I have copied my old Whatsapp backup file

I have Nokia Lumia 520.
I have copied my old Whatsapp backup file "messages.db" to my PC. its is older then 7 days. I would like to re-install that messages in my windows phone. Please help me how to rinstall that file & get the chat information in that backup file.

You should've copied the entire folder. It wont recognize the db file alone. Grab the whole folder and drop it in your memory or SD card. Install and open WhatsApp, login then it will recognize the backup and offer you to backup your messages
