Where has all my data allowance gone?

So this is my experience of Onedrive:
1. Computer seems really slow accessing the internet.
2. Suddenly all my data allowance is gone (Like most people in Asia I'm using 3g)
3. What's this on my computer? 'Downloading 1gb...' I guess it's because I moved a folder of photos on another computer.
4. I guess that's why my internet has been even slower than usual.
5. How do I get this useless software off my computer? I just want to use the internet at full speed and not have something take all my data allowance.

This will be the experience of Onedrive for the other billion people in the World outside of USA, Europe, Korea, Japan etc.

You can turn off/cut-down OneDrive easy enough. Depending on what version of Windows you're using, probably just a right-click of the OneDrive icon (white cloud) in the System Tray (near the clock on the Taskbar) will show the available options.
You can also configure it to not run when you're using a metered connection.
