I filmed Christmas with my Lumia 635. I moved it from my phone to my computer and never looked back. The file weighs 620 MB (which seems to be right considering its length).

It's not launching in Windows Media Center (even with the full k-lite codecs installed) or VLC.

Is there a way to repair it or is it lost?

Thank you

have you tried moving it back to the phone? if it works there and not on the computer it might need a format change. If it doesnt work on the phone then chances are it is stuffed. I dont know if there are options to recover/repair a video.

I can't put it on the phone as I don't have it any more :(

When you say "it is stuffed" what does that mean?
by stuffed I mean ruined. If you have anyother phone that you can use try it or if not try a video convertor to change format from mp4 to avi or mpeg. see if that works. Before any attempts make a copy of the original. I used to use VLC but now I have switched to KMPlayer. works better on my laptop.

Yeah I think it's dead. I don't have the phone anymore and QuickTime didn't help either. I guess my Christmas video is gone!

Thanks guys.
