Why is my 1 day old lumia 730 having a purple hue at the bottom half?

I've bought Lumia 730 yesterday. I'm happy with its performance but facing an issue regarding the display. It is having a slight purple tint at the lower half. The tint is noticeable with grey and white screens. Also when I switch between apps, the edges of the tabs have purple tint. Also the edges of notification tray have purple tint. Also there is some flickering observed around edges. Is it a hardware issue or a software bug? Should I replace my device or wait for an update from Microsoft that will fix the bugs? Urgent help needed!

It's called take it back and get a replacement. I hope you have this capability?

Some phones are defective. That's reality.

There is no other suggested help.

Yes its the AMOLED display.. I also see this red/purple hue at the edges when I quickly switch between windows. It's probably cause of the display.

That's a known issue with some 730 and 930. If I remember correctly MS released a patch for 930 but I can't find anything about 730. You can try to replace your device, but your replacement device probably has same issue, since it's mostly from the same batch that sold to your region. I doubt there will be a fix, unless until W10 come out.
