why is my gb being eaten up. where is it going?

I recently purchased the surface Pro 3 with an advertised 128gb storage. Somehow, without installing or downloading a bunch of apps, my memory is down to 37 gb available. Where is it?

If you run a tool such as WinDirStat (Bing it) you can see exactly what is using space on the hard drive.

And run the disk cleanup tool, might be some update packages that can be delete after installation.
