Is the Surface 3 battery precharged and ready for use out of the box?

As the topic title says, does the surface 3 arrive already charged inside the box or do you need to fully charge it before use? Or somewhere in between?

Mine was precharged and ready for use at arrival. It wasn't at 100% on arrival and initial set up. I think it was closer to 65-75% range.

In general, all devices aren't fully charged out of the box. (slowly discharges, they're in the box for who-knows how long)

It'll probably have enough juice to get going, but I wouldn't expect it to be 80-100%.
