How do I delete a number off my phone?

If i make a call from my Nokia 635 phone how do I delete that number if I don't want to save it?

Phone > History > Hold down on the phone number and select delete from the popup menu

OR

Phone > History > Tap on the extreme left edge of the entry and it calls up the select boxes and puts a check mark in it > Scroll through the list and select as many as you want to clear > tap the Trash Can icon when finished selecting
