Windows phone for Seniors

I have been trying to convince my 84 year old Father to give up his flip phone. I think ther would be a huge market for an app that would simplify the confusing screens of a window or any other phone. Does anyone have any tips, I think the larger screen with just the people he calls would be Ideal without all the other stuff Abmny simple dial aps ECT?
