My nokia lumia 521 won't charge? It keeps turning on and off.

I've had my Nokia Lumia for nearly two years and then last week it stopped charging with a regular charger. I would plug it in, and it would turn on until the screen where it showed the image that the phone is charging then suddenly turn off again. I accidentally left it on overnight like that and in the morning the phone was burning hot. I gave up and used my friend's phone charger. She doesn't have a WP. This worked for a while but now, it's not even charging with my friend's phone and the same problem is happening. It turns on halfway until the screen shows that the phone is charging then turns off. This process keeps on repeating itself.

Or the battery is shot...know anyone else with a battery you can test?

Your battery is definitely shot. My Lumia 521 that I use as an MP3 player/backup phone does the same thing.
