Rolling back to WP 8.1 HTC M8

Hey to whomever can help how can I roll back to windows 8.1 from windows 10 TP? I tried doing it on the computer but it says that no files were found and I can't go back to the old version! Please help!

try connecting the phone to the PC after you turned the phone off, this way the wp recovery tool only reads the phone model and downloads the latest stable version without checking the software version installed (that's probably why it can't find more recent files since you have w10 installed)
