How does WiFi sense work?

W

WPCentral Question

Okay so I am first time windows phone users. I have some questions,i tried finding answers but they were nowhere.
So,
1. Will WiFi sense automatically turn WiFi on or I have to keep WiFi always on? (like on new places I visit and there are WiFi connections available)
2. Some WiFi connections need to enter password first and then a webpage opens there too we've to enter username and password, will it take care of that too?

1. Yep. Wifi sense cannot help you connect to a wifi network if your radio is turned off on your phone.

2. Please define worry. It will handle wifi logins by providing information that you give it to provide, such as your email address.

Re: how WiFi sense works?

okay, and what about hotspots that need static ip address ? because I have been to many places where hotspots were available but my phone connected to none :/
it should have connected since wifi sense and wifi was on.

and please clarify, does it show all hotspots (password protected and open) or just open with 'map my nearby wifi' feature ?
