Can I get some help connecting to an encrypted wifi?

My lumia is not able to connect to some wireless encrypted network which works fine on other devices like Yoga tablet. Today I got a failed connection against two different networks. I tried soft reset without success. What else can help ?

Are you attempting to connect to wifi that you own or control? Even if you have the WPA key, it is possible that you won't have access to the wifi. The person who administrates the network could be using MAC address filtering, which would prevent you from connecting. What Lumia do you own? What error message do you get when your phone fails to connect? Do you know any details about the network?
