What should i upgrade to from lumia 920

I have been using the lumia 920 for a long time now. I have loved it each day. It is absolutely a beast of a phone. It was my first windows phone and it made me stick only to windows over other platforms. With windows 10 on the way i thought of upgrading to a much better and a newer Nokia /Microsoft device. Could some one recommend a device i should move on to and the benefits of it over the 920. It would be great if its a mid ranged device. Thank you in advance for your thoughts

These are all great options that are upgrades, and are the best windows phones out currently. No windows phone is currently above these devices, and anything below these would require you to lose some features and or levels of quality ( which is why i did not include the 640 & 640xl), since you are looking for an upgrade

Keep in mind if you are in the U.S each of these devices cost about the same price $200-250 in their best conditions, so instead of choosing based on price, you should perhaps choose based on which suits your needs best,
as this is something us windows phone users have to do since Microsoft/Nokia has failed to deliver us the best all around flagship experience, due to the 1520, 930, and 830 each having their own individual limitations making them somewhat niche and more appealing to very specific audiences instead of being able to serve everyone well

I would suggest u to go for a Lumia 930/Lumia Icon because its the successor of 920.
Lumia 930 certainly has an edge over 920 as far as camera and other hardware features are concerned.The only thing that is common between the two devices is 32GB storage and i guess the front camera .If storage is an issue then u can also look at the Lumia 1520.
Lumia 830 is a good device but because it comes with snapdragon 400 which in my opinion does the job pretty well, it will surely miss out on some key feature when windows 10 will be released even though it is regarded as an " affordable flagship ". Lumia 640 XL is another good device if you are a fan of large screen but its a not a "PureView" device but still a great device at that price even though there is no OIS and a dedicated camera key.
I think you should wait till windows 10 is released because Microsoft will definitely release more devices along with the Windows 10 flagship.

830-You gain a larger 5inch display, lower ppi but still sharp. Also you gain a quad core processor, thatll be somewhat faster in just a few situations. You also gain a higher 10 megapixel shooter with a sixth element lens for sharper photos. You gain a louder speaker, and an aluminum band design with swappable polycarbonate backs, and also microSd expansion and a removable battery. Lastly you gain Lumia Camera 5 and its features except 4k recording

930-You gain a larger sharper 5inch display with better blacks. You gain a much faster processor, the benefits of Lumia camera 5 listed under the 730, an aluminum band design with colorful polycarbonate backs. You gain a larger 20 megapixel camera that can shoot in 4k, and you gain the ability to activate cortan without touching the phone, by simply uttering the words "hey cortana".. But No Glance and no LTE in the U.Sunless you use the ICON on verizon

1520-All the same benefits of the 930, except with the 1520 you gain a larger 6 inch display (very large), a micro sd slot, and a much larger long lasting battery, and glance and lte in the u.s

HTC ONE M8- I don't know much about this device other than the camera will be worse, but the phone will overrall be faster, the screen will be sharper, and it has a premium metallic build with micro sd expansion, and better battery life. also a larger 5 inch display

Samsung ATIV SE-Also don't know much about this device other than it has a faster processor and a sharper screen that is bigger (5 inches). I do know it has a larger 13 megapixel camera

Thank you all. Now im stuck in between waiting for the release of windows 10 to make decision and going on with lumia 930. But i guess waiting untill the release of windows 10 is the wise thing to do.

I have a 1020 and it's feeling long in tooth. Half the time I can't even take photos anymore and it's actually really making me hate m phone. Definitely waiting until we have some new windows 10 flag ships before I upgrade though.
