I can't project my screen into Windows 7?

The project my screen app works fine, the computer is connected to the phone wp8.1 grd1, but still it doesn't ask whether to project my screen or not!Thanks for the help!

What phone are you referring to? The Lumia 535 works with my Windows 7 PC, but my L1020 doesn't.

There seems to be some bugs with the Project My Screen app currently.
Their advice is to update to v.8.15.12539 and also to try uninstalling your Lumia device in Device Manager -> Universal Serial Bus devices.

After updating the app my Lumia 1520 started showing the "Allow screen projection?" message again but after you click "yes" the display on the Project My Screen app remains black. It does seem to be sending mouse clicks to the device but that's not much good when you can't see where you're clicking.

Hmmmn. Just swapped my USB cable for a much shorter one and it's now working.
