Annoying facebook push notifications

Shoving a constant stream of information at you is what Facebook does. I think they believe if they don't pester you every 1 - 5 minutes you might have a chance at enjoying the real world and may even forget they are there.

For anything that bugs me too much I go to Settings > notifications + actions > tap the App name > turn off sound and vibrate...

If it really bothers you shut off Banners too. I don't have any social media so banners is OK by me, but for the Ambassador chat line on Skype some one is there 24/7 and if if beeped at me every time someone posted I'd throw my phone down a manhole and into the sewer...

Just triage your notices in Action Center.

Ahah thank you for the reply. So it is not possible at all to set off only friends activities? It seems strange. I read some old (2013) discussions about this issue, and they said you could go (in desktop mode) to settings -> notification and turn off "activity you missed" on push notification. However, now that "push notification" setting is no longer active.
