Windows Phone 8.1 connects to all wifis except home wifi?

On HTC 8x with windows 8.1. All other wifis work except home which will connect about 2 or 3 times a month for about an hour before disconnecting and always says 'connecting' between each time it connects. Have not hard reset, will only use as a last resort. Home wifi works well with other all devices except for the phone, have checked that password etc. is correct, all is. :/.

Did you already try a soft reset or delete the home wifi on your phone and connect it again. (settings > wifi > manage > delete "know" home network and or reset your router?

Tried soft reset and deleting the wifi and re-entering the password, however now it's just constantly sitting on the signing in animation, not showing the can't connect or connected sign and continues to do this even after locking and unlocking..
