Cortana can't hear me!

Lumia 1020, 8.1.1, denim. People can hear when I am in a phone call. Cortana seems deaf. Any suggestions?

Soft Reset?

Change Region and reboot so Cortana disappears.

Change Region back and reboot so Cortana reemerges.

I just discovered that hands-free calling, the other party can't hear me either.

Maybe the little tiny microphone on the top of the phone has quit working?

Answered my own question, swapped the A/V assembly with a spare, all working now.

I suspect somebody may have tried to eject the simcard and used the wrong hole.

This is a known issue. Right now I can't hear Cortana and she can't hear me. (PM sent)

I replied to your pm, but you may have a different issue. I could hear Cortana, she just couldn't hear me.
