Why can't I get back to the home screen when editing a picture?

Can't get back to home screen when editing a picture

When I go into edit my image but decide I want to go back to the home screen, there's no way of getting out of it. Even when I lock and unlock it, it returns to the same page.

There's no back space arrow or home icon - I'm literally stuck. How do I get out of it and back to the home screen?

Soft reset (press volume down and power button at the same time, hold until phone vibrates and let both go)

Do soft reset available in Lumia 520?

Oh you have a 520... Oops.. Remove the battery, it has the same effect. Are you on 8.1 or 10?

Weird, try to hard reset the device but be aware that you will lose data such as game scores etc
