I wanted to roll back to win7 home but my son somehow deleted the recovery partition of the hard drive, I did make copies of the installation disk but unfortunately it says it doesn't work with this laptop hp G72, so I'm stuck with win10 build 10162 which isn't a bad thing but when they do roll out the final version of 10 will I still have a genuine copy of win7 even though the recovery has been deleted ? Thanks

Yes you should still have a genuine copy since you upgraded from a genuine Windows 7. Either way you should have a Windows 7 key on the bottom of your computer to use for a fresh install in the worst case scenario.

The only thing you'll be missing is the ability to easily reinstall to your factory defaults from when you purchased the device. Honestly though you won't be missing out on much besides any bloatware or trial software HP would have loaded onto the unit back then. You can still get all necessary drivers from HP's support site after doing a clean install.
