How will windows 7 (pirated) will get the update?

I have window 7 that is not genuine. So how will I get the update for windows? Do I have to buy the windows 10?

Microsoft did mention a couple months ago about people being able to upgrade from a non-genuine version, but as far as I'm awhere nothing has been confirmed nor pricing discussed.
