will windows phone updates still be subject to ISP delays

OS updates being delayed for months by cell providers that would rather sell an ios device is a major problem. Will Windows 10 automatic updates put an end to this.

Per Microsoft at the WPC15 conference in Orlando this week... Microsoft is going to do what they can to update their apps and outside functionality not related to the core of the device with the W10M release, but that is all. Carriers will still need to test updates and release on THEIR schedule (heaven help the Verizon customers). Microsoft hopes that if they reduce the carrier-testing to just core updates and not a bunch of outside testing on apps and so on, that carrier testing will speed up. A wait and see situation that I (as a Verizon burn victim) am not very optimistic about.
