Windows Central Question

I was in the settings at one time, because that was the first time I saw presidential alerts and saw they were greyed out, but now I can't find out how to get there. My heat advisory alert is going off every 15 minutes. I know it's hot, it's July. I would like to turn the weather alerts off for now, anybody know how?

Thanks,

Hi there! Go to settings and swipe right to the applications page, select messaging and you should see a dropdown option to select which alerts you would like to see. Also should be able to get to it from the messaging app and selecting the ellipsis (...) and settings from there. Hope that helps!

Go into Messaging, you know, where you would send/receive SMS.

From there, open the menu at the bottom and enter Settings. Scroll all the way to the bottom of settings and tap the button titled, "emergency alerts."

I'll assume it's in the same place for you as it is for me. I'm running WP 8.1 GDR2.
