My screen broke. Is there anyway to retrieve phone numbers/photos from the phone still?

You should still be able to connect your phone to your computer using your charging cable.

I looked mycomputer/Windows phone and it is empty. Why?

Is your phone connected to your PC with the cable?

It is connected with the USB cable

Then you should be able to find your photos by opening file explorer and clicking on your device. Or you could use the Windows Phone app to do this.

What phone is it? And is it using WP8.1 or W10 Preview?

Does the PC make a sound when you connect the phone? And can you see your phone next to your C: and D: drives in file explorer?

I can see it and it does make a sound.

And if you click on it and navigate to photos, the file is empty?

If I click the phone icon it contains no folders or files or anything.

That's very odd.. I have a Lumia 925 myself, and I can see all files on my phone without any problems. Do you have the Windows Phone app on your PC? That's the last idea I have :/

I do. I think the problem might be that the phone is currently locked but I can't enter the code because of the broken screen

Seems like it, yeah. I've been browsing the web trying to find anything, but it seems like the only way is to replace the broken screen :unhappy:

Do your photos back up to OneDrive? If so, then you have your pictures there. As for contacts, you can retrieve them from outlook.com. Look it up and good luck!
