Why can I only receive text messages during a call?

So I've had my Nokia Lumia for six months and it has worked pretty nicely. (except for it boots me out of what I'm looking at randomly and what I was looking at doesn't even show up in the history) And just randomly a day ago I was no longer receiving texts from anyone. I would only get them if I was in a call. I soft reset my phone and it did not fix it. Any ideas?

Maybe time to call your service providers and find out if manual settings are needed or if something is wrong with their network. If it doesnt work even after that, looks like you should try a hard reset. *DELETES ALL DATA.
