Why isn't Windows 10 recognizing my BenQ HD Monitor?

Windows 10 is not recognising my BenQ HD Monitor

Previous user of Windows 7 & no issue. On upgrading to Windows 10 I have a lot poorer resolution & I am unable to increase it to fill the 22" screen.

In Control Panel / Display it states my monitor is 'Generic Non - PnP Monitor'. I have been on to the BenQ support site & downloaded the latest driver for my monitor which is a E2200HD LCD however this does not seem to have altered anything.

Sounds like more of a video card drive rproblem.

Have you tried downloading the latest video drivers from your manufacturer website?
