Clean installation, product key related??

I have genuine windows 8. I got product key from cmd command. If I do a clean installation now with Windows 10 iso, will it accept my windows 8 product key or not?

If you are on 8 and not 8.1?

Update to 8.1 > Upgrade to 10 to get your valid license converted > then clean install

There is no clean install without upgrade first. You need you license converted and sent to the cloud to attach to your Microsoft Account + Hardware config.
