my hdmi port is not working after upgrade

[WPCentral Question]

I have just upgraded to windows 10 and suddenly the HDMI Port is not working
I plug in the cable and the machine makes a noise like something has been added
(which it didn't do under 8.1) however nothing happens.

I also have searchedmy PC (device manager among others) and cannot find mention of the HDMI Port at all anywhere.

can someone help?

I have reverted to Windows 8.1 until i can get a reply from someone about why my HDMI port disappeared from the system under 10

it has returned now i have reverted.

Any ideas anyone???????
