Why isnt FB messenger connecting to LTE on my Lumia 640?

Im on the LTE internet connection, and when i open the FB messenger app, it says waiting for network. When i got the phone yesterday, there were no problems. Any idea what is going on and how to fix it?

Has this happened with any of your previous phones? If so, it can be your connection. If not, someone on the forums had a similar issue (with calls) and they found that adjusting the highest connection to be 4G instead of LTE helped them.
