Acer TravelMate touchpad issues in Windows 10

[Windows Central Question]

Hi, I have an Acer TravelMate 5744. Just upgraded to Windows 10 from Windows 7 and none of the touchpad gestures (scrolling, zooming) are working. Downloaded the driver (Synaptics) and installed it, but still nothing. Any ideas?

I'm in the same boat on my daughters Acer notebook. However hers works for the first couple minutes then something must conflict and it stops.
An answer here would help us both.
