I downloaded Windows 10 and have no sound, how can I get the sound back?

Downloaded Windows 10 and have no sound.

I downloaded Windows 10 and now have no sound. No sound anywhere on any program.

Please check your driver updates. This solves majority of the problems!

I also just downloaded Windows 10. No sound for anything from any speakers or headphones. All drivers are up to date. When I right click on my active speaker and select "Test" it replies with an error: Failed to play test tone.

Did you download the latest windows 10 cumulative update that arrived today?

Did you update or did a clean install?
