Why won't the settings app open after my Windows 10 download?

I have a Lenovo laptop, and it worked great. But I recently downloaded Windows 10, and the settings app refuses to open? It blinks and then it disappears.

Same here.
I could not access many features after install.
Reinstalled and most seems better but settings won't open they just blink on and off as described here.

I am having the same problem and no luck finding a solution. Anyone have any suggestions.. I called Microsoft, they did a refresh and I think I stumped them!!

This worked for me - go to answers.microsoft.com/en-us/windows/forum/windows_10-other_settings/settings-doesnt-launch-or-launches-the-store/ec439819-7ee4-4b4d-abdd-35d82e04c55f?page=1&auth=1

Click "from this patch" to download the troubleshooter and give it a run. Settings now opens!
