Windows 10 activation madness

So, I was using Windows 8.1 when suddenly I got the message saying that my windows was going to expire. I tried from <removed by moderator> to cmd with no success. Then, yesterday, I downloaded the media creation tool and upgraded my PC, I'm now on windows 10, that is not activated. When I click "activate" on configs menu, I get a message saying that Im not connected to the corporate network and windows cannot access kms server. Mostly curious is that I never connected my notebook to a corporate network, that seems to be an error. Is there any way to fix this? I browsed the web and found nothing
