Any experience with Office 365 on a Chromebook?

I have recently returned to school. Taking online courses. I have been using a Chromebook exclusively for 2 years. I was informed I would need a PC or Mac. I went with a pretty great Asus Convertible. Has all the specs I need for the next two years of class. But, I remembered 365 and after checking it out today on the Chromebook, it seemed to work pretty great. I am concerned about lengthy updates interrupting my somewhat tight study schedule as I have encountered 15 and 30 minute delays this week (currently on 8.1 as the school has yet to approve 10). I am also concerned about the virus threat, something I haven't even thought about for the last few years.

If anyone has any experience in this area, I would appreciate your input and advice. I could always do both but that isn't very cost effective.

The Chromebook is basically the Chrome browser. If what you need to do can be done in the Chrome browser, then you should be good. Otherwise, you'll likely need a PC or a Mac.
