Why can't I add an app to my phone from the web store?

I used to be able to browse the online app store, using my computer, and add new apps to my phone. Seems that the app store has changed and I can't do this. What's up?

The app store has gone universal The option has been removed. We're not sure if the option you want will return, but the best thing to right now is to let MS know that we want this ability back
