Why wont my lumia 635 wirelessly project to my laptop

it said when i bought the thing that it can WIRELESSLY PROJECT ITS SCREEN TO A PC why isnt it?!

No, it didn't say it can wirelessly project to a PC. Wireless projection can be to a TV, projector, or monitor IF it has Miracast support.

If you wish to project to your Windows PC, you need to download the Project My Screen App for Windows Phone and install that on your PC. You will need a USB cable to do so.

Be aware that the keyboard on your PC will not operate the keyboard for the phone. The mouse, and touchscreen for the PC does seem to be working in this latest version of the app.

If you're needing external keyboard/mouse/monitor control, you may want to pick up one of the new Windows 10 flagship phones coming out later this year, as they will have "continuum" and have the capability to hook up to external monitor, mouse, and keyboard and go full-screen like a PC.

I just got cheap wifi dongle of the ebay. Will try it on my lumia 930

Update: Cheap dongle is working exellent. Now i can stream hd videos from yt to tv
