Windows 10 Why can't my USB wifi adapter work?

I recently upgraded my OS from Windows 8.1 to Windows 10. I used a Netgear WiFi USB adapter that worked fine on the previous system. However, once I updated my computer says that the installation is incomplete for the adapter, even though I installed all drivers from the CD included. Please help!

Check if there are new drivers in the netgear website specifically for windows 10.

Check the device manager. Is there exclamation or x mark on it?
