My sound constantly crashes every 5-10 minutes! How can I stop this?

My sound constantly crashes every 5-10 minutes!

It crashes the audio and breaks the games that I play! I always have to go to Task Manager and the services tab and restart the audiosrv service to fix it temporarily. Then it happens AGAIN! It really pisses me off!

Quite likely you need new drivers. And an uninstall of the old drivers first.


Check the OEM Support site for your device and/or the hardware component. Download new drivers if they can be found... Open Device Manager and expand the component category.

Disable the device and uninstall the drivers for it. Reboot. Run the driver install utility you downloaded from your OEM. Reboot, even if it does not advise you to...
