how can i listen to my music again? why did my xbox music player stop working? i need my music

my music played perfectly fine with the xbox music player then i updated my phone (nokia lumia 525) to the most recent updat of software windows 8 and my music stopped working. it wont even let me open up the app or play my music. every time i click the app thescreen turns black and goes my homescreen. i downloaded other music apps but it didnt work with my sd card like the xbox music player app. all i want to know is how can i get my xbox music player app to open and let me hear my music

Have you checked the store to see if the Xbox music app is up to date?
