Why am I unable to install programs written for windows 7? Autorun nor setup.exe. work.

I insert the program disk. Have to tap box to open functions window. Click autoplay and or setup.exe and they start and then stop.

In what OS are you trying to run those programs? If you're trying to run them in Windows 10, then try to run them in Compatibility mode for Windows 7. Right click on the .exe, click on Properties, then under the Compatibility tab, look for "Run this program in compatibility mode for" and select "Windows 7" from the choices.
