help i cant reset my nokia

my friend gave me a nokia lumia 640 windows phone. i set a password and forgot it, i tried to reset the phone but he never disabled reset protection and now i cant get ahold of him. how can i return the phone to its factory default without a recovery key or the microsoft account he used to sign in with?
