Phone won't switch on or off

[WPCentral Question]

It's a Nokia lumina 625 and it won't fully switch on or off, I can hear the phone ringing and her the msg tone coming through but I can't answer or read the mags it's like it's semi closed. I tried holding the buttons as ppl have said to others on the forum but this doesn't work either
