Why are the pictures terrible on my Lumia 640 XL?

It might be a software issue but how do i fix this? I use both lumia cameras, the old one and the new one with rich capture. Every time before i take a picture, the screen shows the picture is well lit, detailed, and colored accurately. But after taking shooting, the pictures become very washed out especially the front camera!
