updated from windows 8.1 to windows 10 Input Signal Out Of Range.

hi i have updated from windows 8.1 to windows 10 i now have a black screen with a box saying Input Signal Out Of Range. it's a 2 month old acer desktop ive tested the monitor and vga cable on a different pc and its working fine ive also swapped monitors from a pc thats working 100% and still getting the same Input Signal Out Of Range. can anyone help
