I lose all my photos and documents in upgrading to windows 10, how to get them back

I cannot find my photos and documents, every directory is empty and contains no file

We're going to need a bit more info:

How did you save the files to begin with?

Where did you save your files?

Were they in your user folders or the cloud?

Did you do an upgrade or fresh install?
