Can Google Chrome App be down loaded on a Surface 2 tablet?

I would like to download Google Chrome and I am told I can not download this App. Also Geek Squad has told me I cant download their security software Web Root ? Is this right?

Yep. Windows RT limits executable downloads to store apps only. True anti-virus programs exist only on desktop platforms. So if you see an anti-virus app on the Windows Store, it must be fake. As for browsers, there are alternatives but none are as powerful as the built in Internet Explorer.
