WIN10 - Why aren't Office apps searchable in search (Coratana)?

WIN10 - Office apps not searchable in search (Coratana)

Hi,

When I press win-q to search and run any program i cannot search for my office apps... pretty weird. I already checked the search indexing and changed a few folders... but still nothing.

Please help

I was able to fix it by resetting my "Indexed Locations" to the Windows defaults (Right-click start button -> Control Panel -> Indexing Options -> Modify).

Include only:

Offline Files
Start Menu (C:\ProgramData\Microsoft\Windows\Start Menu\)
Users (C:\Users\ but excluding C:\Users\<username>\AppData)


Finally I triggered a rebuild of the index (Right-click start button -> Control Panel -> Indexing Options -> Advanced -> Rebuild).

After a reboot and waiting a little while for things to re-index the start menu is returning correct results as quickly as I can type!
