Lumia 930 Incompatible with VW Golf Mk 7 Infotainment System
I bought a VW Mk 7 Golf in March 2014 when I had a Nokia Lumia 925.
It would take an inordinate length of time to connect via Bluetooth to the car phone system. The SatNav will not work without every time ejecting and re-inserting the SD card. To make matters worse, every hour or so the "Infotainment" system will shut itself down. Sometimes it reboots on its own whereas sometimes I have to physically press the "on" button before it will restart and then ejecting and re-inserting the SD card to use the SatNav.
The VW distributor tried all manner of diagnostics to no avail.
I upgraded the phone last month to the Lumia 930 and have exactly the same problems.
It seems the phone is sending some sort of signal to the infotainment which causes it to misbehave!
If I enter the car with the phoned switched off, everything is fine. That, however, is not convenient and I'd still end up with the system shutting down every hour or so.
I can't believe I'm the only one to experience this problem.
Anyone found a solution?
