I have installed WhatsApp on my girlfriend her brand new Lumia 735 (Windows 8.1 update 2). WhatsApp is important to her as she uses it very frequently. She seems not be able to open the app as the app closes automatically and I have not been successful in resolving this issue. I have tried to find a solution on the internet but I couldn't find any solutions.
I have downloaded the app from the store and installing and verifying does not cause any problems. I receive the text message to verify the account and I can enter the code. When it moves to the next screen, where it asks for the users name, the app closes automatically. I have deleted the app and re-installed it which did not help to solve the issue. I have restored the phone to factory settings and this did not help either. I have run out of ideas and she seems to be frustrated about the switch to WP, any ideas what I could do to get WhatsApp running on her phone?
