Why does my messaging only type one word at a time & fail to recognize words?

why will my messaging only type one word at a time & fail to recognise words

My phone will only allow me to type a single word when texting or messaging. I then have to press the back button open up the message & type the next word. Also it is failing to recognise words & also websites. I used to type in the start of a word & the phone would recognise it but it has now stopped doing this??

I have never seen this problem before.

I'd advise you try a soft reset and then report back if that does or does not fix the problem.

To soft reset, just press down and & hold the Volume Down & Power Button for about 15 seconds, or until the phone vibrates. It'll restart and boot like normal.
