Windows 10 - older apps can't find internet connection
I am having issues with older applications running under Windows 10 being able to find an Internet connection. The first problem I had was with The Weather Channel desktop. Every time I would boot up it told me it couldn't find an internet connection.
Now I am trying to use the Verizon software upgrade assistant, and I am getting the same type of error.
Why can't these older apps recognize that I have an internet connection? Everything else works fine. I have a wired ethernet connection connected to a router which is wired to a Xfinity cable modem.
Thanks.
